House of Armac Martin

Birmingham brass, specified across Canada.

Armac Martin is a fourth-generation British brass house, manufacturing in Birmingham since 1929, recently evolved from a cabinet hardware brand into a whole-home luxury interiors program. Banbury Lane carries the most comprehensive Armac Martin display in Canada, working with architects, designers, and custom home builders to specify the brand across whole-home projects.

The Brand

A British brass house, evolved.

In June 2026, Armac Martin opened the House of Armac Martin flagship at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, London. The opening marked a deliberate brand evolution. Armac is no longer positioning as a cabinet hardware company. It is positioning as a luxury home interiors brand whose hardware sits at the core of an expanded program now including door hardware, lighting, decorative grilles, bath accessories, mirrors, and a growing range of brass objects for the home.

The hardware is still the brand. Solid brass, hand-polished and hand-finished in Birmingham, organized into three tiers across collections and finishes, with a bespoke atelier service for projects where the catalog does not have the answer. What has changed is the breadth of what carrying Armac in a project now means.

Banbury Lane has been working with Armac Martin in Calgary across nearly every category they make. The depth of program we run is one of the reasons specifiers across Western Canada and increasingly across the country have started routing Armac-led projects through us. Apply for a trade account →

The Collections

Signature, Speciality, Luxe.

Armac organizes the brand into three tiers across both collections and finishes. Each tier reflects a different combination of manufacturing process, finish complexity, and price register. The brass is the same brass and the craft standards are the same across all three. Select a collection to see its full range, finishes, and sizes.

The Finish Program

Living, lacquered, plated.

A specifier choosing across Armac's finish program is also choosing how the hardware will behave over the life of the project. Armac's finishes fall into three behavioral categories.

Living

Unlacquered. They begin in one state and evolve through use, oxidation, and handling. Available across all three tiers, including BEL, AGC, NBP, DAB, SBUL, PBUL in Signature, and HBN, HBB, FEA, DBZ in Luxe.

Lacquered

Color-stable. A protective lacquer locks the brass at its current tone and prevents oxidation. Available in Speciality (PBL, SBL, SBSL) and Luxe (SAS, MBL).

Plated

Nickel and chrome electroplatings over a solid brass substrate. The plating delivers the cooler colour register while the brass body underneath delivers the weight and proportion. Available in Speciality (PNP, PCP, SNP, SCP).

Project coordination across a whole home benefits from consistency in finish behavior. A kitchen specified in a living finish carries differently across five years than the same kitchen in a lacquered finish. Banbury Lane can help coordinate finish-behavior decisions across cabinetry, doors, bath, and lighting in the same conversation.

The Program

Beyond hardware.

The 2024 catalog Armac published is already wider than what most North American dealers display, and the brand has expanded further since.

Cabinet hardware.

The full pull, knob, T-bar, appliance pull, cup pull, flush pull, edge pull, circular and D-pull range. Across all three tiers.

Bath accessories.

Towel bars, toilet roll holders, robe hooks, in solid brass coordinated to match the cabinetry finish.

Decorative grilles.

Regency Diamond, Elliptical, Georgian Square, Diamond Interwoven, Square Interwoven, and double-pattern variants. Perforated sheets, grille frames, mesh. Specified into millwork details, radiator covers, cabinetry inset panels, and statement architectural moments where standard vent grilles would compromise the design.

Brass rails, shelf brackets, hooks, mirrors.

The Cotswold brass rail program. Claremont mirrors. The Brindley hanging wine glass rack. Wall-mounted shelving units. Wall hooks across multiple collections. Card frames. The catalog of brass objects Armac makes for the home is genuinely deep.

Door hardware.

New in 2025 and expanding through 2026. The current collection includes Barwick back-to-back pull handles (plain and ridged, with and without backplate), sliding door flush pulls (Driffold, Bartley, Lyndon, in both round and square forms), and Cremone bolts (Traditional and Contemporary). Armac has publicly confirmed a forthcoming 2026 expansion to include door knobs, lever handles, and turn-and-release locks with thumb-turn, backplate, and rose options. The door hardware program will eventually allow Armac to be specified across cabinet and door in a coordinated solid brass program, an offering very few brass houses anywhere can match.

Lighting program.

Armac introduced its debut lighting collection at the House of Armac Martin Chelsea Harbour flagship in June 2026. The lighting program extends the same Birmingham brass craft into pendants, sconces, and architectural lighting elements.

The only category of the expanded program Banbury Lane does not currently carry in North America is Armac's lightswitch and socket system, which is distributed under separate arrangements outside of NA. Everything else in the House of Armac Martin program is available through Banbury Lane.

Bespoke

Atelier by Armac Martin.

For projects where the catalog is the starting point rather than the answer, Armac runs an in-house bespoke service called Atelier by Armac Martin.

Partially bespoke

Modifies dimensions on existing collections. Length, diameter, projection adjusted to fit the project. Lead times typically 6 to 8 weeks.

Fully bespoke

Designs and manufactures pieces from scratch. The Atelier process includes CAD 3D rendering and technical drawings, 3D-printed resin prototypes for design review, and laser engraving for branded or custom detail. Lead times typically 8 to 12 weeks.

Banbury Lane coordinates Atelier projects with Armac's design team in Birmingham. Custom hardware is rare in residential projects, but in the right project, having access to a brass house that will manufacture to spec is a meaningful capability.

Specifying Through Banbury Lane

What working with us looks like.

Physical access in Calgary.

The Banbury Lane showroom carries one of the most comprehensive Armac Martin displays in Canada. Specifiers can hand the hardware to a client, weigh a Digbeth against a Sparkbrook, compare two finishes under showroom lighting before committing to spec. Specifiers based outside Calgary regularly arrange showroom visits when scoping a project.

Finish samples shipped to project.

Armac's finishes shift meaningfully under different lighting conditions and adjacent cabinetry tones. Physical finish chips delivered to the design office or job site are the only reliable way to coordinate finish selection without ordering hardware on speculation. Sample requests handled through Banbury Lane.

Whole-home coordination.

Specifying Armac on a project usually means coordinating cabinet hardware, bath accessories, decorative details, and now door hardware and lighting across the whole home. Banbury Lane carries the full Armac Martin program, with finish coordination across all categories in the same conversation.

Trade account access.

Pricing on Armac Martin is not displayed publicly, per the manufacturer's requirements. Approved trade accounts have full access to pricing, sample programs, and project support across the entire Banbury Lane catalog, not only Armac.

Sourcing and delivery.

Armac Martin is sourced per project from Birmingham. Delivery to the Calgary location is typically 2 to 4 weeks for in-stock items via Armac's Quick Ship program, with longer lead times for hand-finished and bespoke pieces. Order coordination is handled directly with Armac Martin's North American team.
